The mayor has declared a snow emergency for the Village of Athens effective beginning at 12pm on Saturday, January 6th, 2024. Please take note of the parking regulations below and help us keep the streets clear.
Alternate side (odd/even) parking regulations begin at noon on Saturday. All vehicles should be moved to the even side of the street. The following “day” begins at 8am on Sunday, when vehicles should be moved to the odd side of the street. These regulations continue through Monday at 8am unless the emergency is extended.
Alternate side of the street parking shall be in effect for the duration of the emergency and shall commence at the time the declaration is made. On even-numbered days, parking is permitted only on the even-numbered side of the street. On odd-numbered days parking is only permitted on the odd-numbered side of the street. A restricted day starts at 8:00 a.m. and continues until 8:00 a.m. the following day.
