In discussing Memorial Day parade permit or any summer permitting I believe there should be a caveat about social distancing and public health. Under NO circumstances will the COVID 19 virus be gone and as a resident of Athens village I have a great deal of trepidation about summer visitors and any level of crowd gathering. We have heard NOTHING to make us think that this will be safe.
