On Wednesday, April 24th, the Village of Athens Board of Trustees will hear public comment on three proposed laws. Repairs have been made to the broken water main and water is back up and running in the village. However, it may take time for full pressure to return. We anticipate all should be back to normal in a couple of hours. Thank you, we appreciate your patience.
The situation on Second St. has worsened and we've had a substantial water main break. In order to repair the break, we've had to shut down the system at the Dogwood tower. Water pressure will be low to non-existent in the village until the repair is completed. We will post updates as they become available. …
