This week’s Village Board meeting will include both the monthly public agenda and department head reports. Due to Thanksgiving, we will only have one meeting this month.
We will begin with two public hearings on pending local laws, notice of each was previously posted in the Daily Mail.
The first law sets the income limits for tax exemptions for those 65 years of age or over and people living with disabilities or limited income. Information regarding these income limits (which we adopt from Greene County) can be found here. The second law involves an amendment to our existing code, section 229-6, regarding late payment penalties for water bills. You can find information on the amendment here.
We begin at 6:00pm at the Athens Village Clerk’s Office (2 First St., 1st fl.).
