The public is welcome to attend Village Board meetings! Meetings take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

The second Wednesday is the department heads’ meeting. The fourth Wednesday is a public agenda meeting. If you’d like to get on the agenda for a public meeting, please submit your request by that Monday.

April 16, 2026Athens has established a Conservation Advisory Council, the first in Greene County!Council meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month and are open to the public. Meetings may be conducted in person at the Community Building (2 First St.), or remotely via Zoom. Please check with the Village Clerk's Office in advance to confirm location. -
